About the event

A special event for IBCLCs and others working in the field of breastfeeding support (professional or volunteer).

An opportunity for self-care, de-briefing, networking and topping up of oxytocin supplies allowing you to continue to perform in your role to the best of your ability.

We all know that burnout and fatigue are a real risk in our profession and it is easy to put our own needs as a low priority when we are so passionate. It is also easy to damage that passion and our level of compassion if experiences and emotions build up to overwhelm us. Come and join together in our tranquil scrap of woodland for a day of workshops and activities designed to help you let go of that which is not useful and nurture that which is.

The day includes a fabulous lunch prepared by a French Chef, refreshments, all of the materials for the activities (some of which are take-home) and the chance to regain some sanity!

Some of the activities already booked (*some of which everybody will participate in, some you can choose from) include:

  • Using the body, breath and voice to release tension. Led by acclaimed singer-songwriter Sandra Kerr.
  • Outdoor cookery
  • Beaded bracelet making
  • Ukulele ensemble
  • Reflexology
  • Forest art
  • De-breifing and support session

This list will grow and become even more exciting as other activities are confirmed. The activities are designed for complete beginners and we encourage you to try things you have never done before which may be out of your comfort zone.
